On 08/20/10, approximately 5:50pm, the Green Lake County Sheriff's Office received numerous reports of tree's and power lines down in the Township of Brooklyn.  Responding to the area along with the Sheriff's Office were the Green Lake/Brooklyn Fire department.  Upon arrival responders found extensive damage to the area, with trees and powerlines down, damage to homes, and property, including boats, shore stations, and piers.  Damage to the area indicated that an apparent tornado approached the east end of Big Green Lake, and traveled in a southwest to northwest direction for approximately 1 mile.  Green Lake County Emergency Management Director, Gary Podoll, also responded to the scene to assess the damage.  He advised that officials from the National Weather Service would be on hand on Saturday morning to observe the damage.  There were no injuries reported in this incident, and no residents were displaced from their homes.
