On Wednesday, July 29th, 2009, the Green Lake County Sheriff's Office received a complaint of the theft of Goats from a Green Lake County farm. Reported as stolen are approximately 75 Goats in total. The Goats consisted of 30 yearlings and 45 "springing" animals.

The complainant had arrived home on the evening of Tuesday, July 28th, 8:00pm, to find a gate open and many of his milking goats roaming the property. The goats were rounded up and returned. During the night the complainant had to settle his dog which was barking. On Wednesday morning the theft was discovered after the complainant returned home from a funeral.

The Green Lake County Sheriff's Office is aware the the Dodoge County Sheriff's Office had a similar crime approximately two weeks earlier. A Green Lake County Detective has been assisnged the case.

Total value of this theft is estimated to be approximately $18,000.00. Green Lake County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of suspects concerning this sustantial theft.
