Starting annual salary for Nursing Supervisor is between $100,401 and $114,275; starting annual salary for the Nursing Supervisor Assistant is between $93,787 and $114,275 depending on experience plus benefits. Pay on appointment for current state employees may vary according to the applicable pay transaction provisions of the compensation plan and Wisconsin Administrative Code. The Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Kettle Moraine Correction Institution (KMCI) and Columbia Correction Institution (CCI), are seeking to fill a challenging and interesting vacancies for a full-time Nursing Supervisor, Health Services Manager (HSM). The Nursing Supervisor functions as the Manager or Assistant Manager of a Health Services Unit. Position Summary: This position functions as the Health Services Manager of the correctional facility Health Service Unit (HSU) and works with the primary care physician, dentist, psychiatrist and specialists serving as consultants to the Bureau of Health Services (BHS) in a collaborative manner to provide quality health care at the assigned correctional facility in an efficient and effective manner. While the primary care physician and dentist are responsible for the professional management of medical and dental services, it is the HSM who provides the overall administrative support and direction of the unit. Special Notes: Applicants must be legally entitled to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without DOC sponsorship) at the time of application. The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks on applicants prior to selection to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. Upon hire, all new DOC employees are subject to fingerprinting. The Department of Corrections may conduct pre-employment drug screens. Any applicant who is offered employment in a position which requires a pre-employment drug screen must pass the screen as a contingency to employment. Applicants who fail or refuse the drug screen will not be given further consideration for employment. CPR certification or ability to obtain certification is required. Must be registered as a Professional Nurse* in the State of Wisconsin by the date of hire.
