REPORTS TOOperations Manager
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and coach Operational and leadership skills to Team Leaders, Processing Leads, Coordinators and technicians to enhance peak performance through SQMS and HPO design principles
- Responsible to collaborate across all pillars and leadership
- Responsible for packaging and processing tactical and strategic planning
- Deliver demonstrated results in critical manufacturing success areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability, Organizational Development, Sanitation and cost
- Coordinate closely with maintenance department to ensure that PM activities are in sync with operational plans
- Work closely with logistics department to optimize production schedules and meet customer demand
- Responsible for driving department issues to root cause and developing a zero-loss and continuous improvement culture
- Embraces and champions positive change
- Provide performance based feedback to coordinators, team leaders and technicians
- Develop a technical understanding of the process flow, quality systems, equipment and pay for contribution system
- Actively participate in the DDS meetings
- Interviews prospective candidates and participates in the selection process
- Reviews and approves payroll for all technicians and reports in a timely manner
- Responsible for performance management including PAs, 90 day plans, etc.
- Works closely with HR to administer any discipline
- Participates on projects as needed
- Backs up the other Area Leader and Plant Operations Manager

- All other duties as assigned
Education
- A Bachelor’s degree is required, Engineering Discipline preferred
Experience
- At least 3 years of experience leading and managing teams in a manufacturing environment is required
- Demonstrated experience with high performance work systems and implementation is preferred
- Food processing experience is preferred

- Must have technical skills and problem solving experience
- Must be able to prioritize work in a high demand work environment
- Self-motivated and able to motivate others
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule across shifts as needed to most effectively support the organization
- Must be able to lift 75 pounds on a regular basis and stand for extended hours
