•    Complies with all FDA, BRC, and Company food safety and quality policies
•    Supports all safety initiatives and performs assigned safety responsibilities as needed
•    Facilitate, role model, and build skills and capabilities in plant sanitation procedures and programs
•    Understand and model high performance systems and tools
•    Embraces and champions positive change
•    Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives in the sanitation programs
•    Tracks spending and maintains the budget in the Sanitation cost center     
•    Trains and coaches plant and sanitation technicians across the plant 
•    Owns and maintains Master Sanitation Schedules. Understand importance of proper sequence of sanitation procedures.     
•    Support operations with sanitation concerns and issues by assisting in sanitation practices as it relates to the plant allergen and weekly programs
•    Tracks monthly sanitation completion for all departments
•    Participates and aids in all internal and external quality audit preparations
•    Demonstrate and train allergen and ATP swabs and track their results
•    Manage Equipment Re-certification process     
•    HAZCOM System Owner and primary contact for chemicals throughout the plant for sanitation and track lube.  Oversees chemical equipment repair and replacement.        
•    Expert in chemical usage, storage and labeling and train plant technicians        
•    Has a basic understanding of microbiology principles as they apply to sanitation    
•    Demonstrate and can train others on line inspections in processing and packaging
•    Can manage the environmental testing program and apply to the sanitation program.  Perform root cause analysis on outages.
•    Develops, maintains and conducts New Hire Orientation Training as needed         
•    Owns sanitation and pest control key element responsibilities, includes updating Quality Documents for Sanitation and Pest Control
•    Documentation approval as PCQI (Preventive Control Quality Individual) Practitioner
•    Oversees restroom, breakroom, and janitorial supplies.
•    All other duties as assigned    

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum 3 years Sanitation, Quality, and or Operations experience
  • Strong computer skills
  • Positive work history
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Forklift certified/Arial Lift Certified
  • Effective team leadership skills including
  • Willing to work a flexible schedule including overtime and weekends when business need requires
  • Perform the necessary physical activity for purposes of operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment including:
    • Climbing stairs and ladders, standing on, and moving around on platforms, equipment and concrete floors
    • Twist or bend at the knees and back
    • Lift objects up to 75 pounds using proper lifting techniques
    • Stand and walk for extended hours

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Associates degree or higher preferred
  • PCQI (Preventative Control Qualified Individual) Certification preferred
  • Hydrite Chemical School preferred
  • Willingness to acquire other certifications as required
