Groundsman 

The GROUNDSMAN is responsible for performing a variety of duties including:

* visually checking conveyors for wear and burden, insuring their continued operation

* checking and replacing air filters in the motor house, compressor room and hydraulic room

* help unplug the mill in the event of a snuff ( plugged shredder)

* monitor steam from the mill to make sure it is adequate

* assist inspector with sorting material as needed

* help with both ferrous and nonferrous downstreams

* help get conveyor systems going in all weather conditions

This position is primarily outside all year

Preferred Degree/Diploma Obtained: High School Diploma (GED Allowed)
Program of Study: General Studies

Regularly Standing, Reaching/Pushing/Pulling, Lifting 5 - 25 lbs, walking

 

Occasionally Sitting, Climbing/Balancing, stooping/Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling, Lifting 25 - 50 lbs.
