Summary

As a team member you will have the opportunity to work with an exciting integrated document storage platform, allowing for the capacity to efficiently and accurately place loan documents in the Bank’s loan document imaging system. Assist with collateral lien perfection, titling and UCC controls, releasing collateral per procedural requests, answering incoming phone calls as assigned, verifying accuracy of booked loans and other miscellaneous departmental duties as may be needed.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Scanning hard file documents using image capture scanner
  • Move uploaded documents located in our current mortgage processing system into formatted indexing folders
  • Index documents into image system according to the indexing procedures
  • Utilize imaging checklists to account for all required loan documents from application through loan closing
  • Verify that the image quality of the documents and that placement is accurate per Imaging Checklist
  • Perform loan check-back duties, confirming data entry accurate in operating system
  • Responsible for ongoing education and knowledge of current banking regulations and following established bank procedures to ensure compliance.
  • Ability to learn and be proficient with title and release procedures including, but not limited to vehicles, manufactured homes, boats, trailers and motorcycles.
  • Answer incoming phone lines as assigned

Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to work efficiently and accurately using keyboard desktop systems
  • Strong attention to detail is required in this position
  • Proficient using Adobe Pro capabilities including: merge, turn and combining documents
  • Proficient using Excel worksheets
  • Initiative to collaborate with and/or assist other team members as needed
  • Ability to execute more than one program or task simultaneously
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality, trust and integrity
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal forms
  • Strong interpersonal skills to positively represent the bank
  • Self-motivated to excel and work well with minimal supervision

Working Conditions

  • Normal office environment with minimal noise, temperature variation or dust
  • Periodic travel to branch offices may be required (very minimal)
  • Position consists of longer periods of sitting and working on desktop computer with dual monitors
  • Manual dexterity skills for typing and use of computer and other related office systems and equipment
  • Occasional bending, reaching, stooping and/or lifting of up to 10 lbs. is required (example: file box)
  • Constant visual effort is required. Up to 90%-100% of the work day is spent at a computer monitor and/or with written or computer-generated paper documents
  • Periodic travel to branch offices may be required (very minimal)

Training and Preparation

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in business or related field (or equivalent experience) is preferred
  • Prior exposure to loan documentation (particularly installment and/or mortgage) is preferred
  • Experience working with procedural formats in tasks related to releasing and titling automobiles, boats, manufactured homes, etc. is preferred
  • Relevant banking experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
  • Proficient in the use Microsoft products (Word, Excel, etc.) is required
