Description

Responsibilities include the evaluation of pre-construction deliverable documents, documenting layout, specifications, and site specific information. This role will also be responsible for completion of project and cost control tasks. This position will prepare, monitor, and amend fully loaded project schedules to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within the prescribed time frame parameters by performing the following duties

The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Promote safety – assist with the implementation of all applicable HSE programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Promote quality – assist with implementation of quality policies and procedures.
  • Review IFC requirements for projects, ensuring all aspects of the project are documented and accounted for.
  • Perform jobsite inspections to understand the scope of project and identifying any issues with project impacts.
  • Build and maintain relationships with crews, vendors, and subcontractors, ensuring projects are completed timely.
  • Develop and maintain P6 project schedules. Provide progress submittal and analysis of production and progress. 
  • Understand the terms and scope of the contract as it applies to the project
  • Track material, production, and project costs and provide documentation to Project Management (PM)
  • Assist PM with client correspondence, reporting, and project planning
  • Attend construction related meetings to support project related functions
  • Provide onsite support activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field experience. 5 years of prior work/internship experience working for a contractor in a project engineering or related role is preferred. Applicants must be able to handle multiple projects at one time, possess the ability to successfully negotiate terms and conditions and manage tight deadlines. Candidates should demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication to collaborate with various levels of management. Proficiency in computer software skills such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Primavera P6 are preferred. Prior experience with estimating and job cost tracking software a plus, but not required.
