Duties:

Perform supplier quality systems audits. Work on Lean Six Sigma improvement projects and design experiments utilizing DMAIC architecture. Responsible for procurement, sourcing and supplier evaluation, selection and development activities, getting the supplier buy-in and agreement on improvement actions. Work on tactical quality issues with the goal of identifying root cause and making necessary changes to process and product. Using Siemens Teamcenter and Power Steering Project Management application to generate technical reports. Continually refine and improve the supplier integration strategy and execution.

Education + Experience Requirements

A master’s degree in industrial, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering and two (2) years of experience in internal factory supplier quality. In lieu of a master’s degree and two years of experience, a bachelor’s degree and five (5) years of experience in the same fields will be accepted.

Special Skills:

Must have work experience in each of the following: 1) experience with Lean Six Sigma improvement projects and designing experiments utilizing a DMAIC architecture; 2) experience with Siemens Teamcenter and Power Steering Project Management application; and 3) 3 years of experience with procurement, sourcing and supplier evaluation, selection and development within marine manufacturing industry.
