LHHS is in search of qualified RN that will contribute to helping residents live long and live well. As the RN, our nurses work to provide to the residents assigned, the highest quality of care by administrating the residents plan of care. Within your unit, you will supervise the LPN and the non-professional nursing staff. All Nurses will adhere to rules of conduct and standards of practice as defined by Wisconsin Statue and Wisconsin Administration Code.
 
Full Time:
AM SHIFT: 6 AM - 2:30 PM Scheduled 8 days e/o weekend schedule.
PM Shift: 2 PM - 10:30 PM Scheduled 8 days e/o weekend schedule.
NOC Shift 10:15 PM - 6:15 PM Scheduled 8 days e/o weekend schedule.

The RN works a rotating schedule including every other weekend. Electronic access to scheduling allows for instant and active access to the 4 week schedule.
Graduate Nurses and/or expecting graduates are encouraged to apply. LHHS has a training program to assist with orientation and on the job training to help new nurses succeed in their new career.

Qualifications:
  • Currently licensed as a Nurse with the State of Wisconsin as an RN.
  • Job Duties
  • Assessment, preparation, coordination, and implementation of the total plan of care.
  • Supervises other nursing staff and their provision of care during the shift.
  • Administers and monitors the use of medications and maintains current knowledge base.
  • Observes, assesses and documents resident status, including 24 hour report.
  • Notifies physician of change in condition.
  • Assists with physician visits.
  • Performs veni-punctures for specimens or IV fluids or meds.
  • Assists residents to attain and maintain highest practicable level socially and medically.
  • Conveys accurate adequate assessment information to physicians, residents, families, and staff as appropriate.
  • Performs medical treatments and evaluates their effectiveness.
  • Signs all physician orders after ensuring accuracy, appropriateness, and completion.
  • Completes required documents for transfers, admissions, etc. and utilizes Care Tracker information.
  • Physical Demands
  • Ability to endure prolonged walking, sitting, standing, use of pulling, bending, and stooping movements.
  • Must be able to use hands, arms for grasping, pushing, pulling and for moderately difficult manipulation such as writing, positioning, etc
  • Must be physically able to move intermittently throughout the day.
  • Must be able to speak English in an understandable manner.
