Sports Commissioners

The Fond du Lac YMCA is looking for positive role models that are passionate about youth sports. The Y is seeking leaders in Basketball, Tee Ball, Floor Hockey and Soccer. A commitment of 1-6 hours a week is all it takes to make a big difference.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Acts as a positive role model using the YMCA’s core values of honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility.
• Plans and instructs assigned sport program in accordance with YMCA standards, having prepared lesson plans accordingly. 
• Builds effective, authentic relationships with students and parents; helps them connect with each other and the YMCA. 
• Prepares and maintains program site and equipment. Organizes and puts away program equipment. • Reports damaged equipment. 
• Conveys information on sports programs and schedules.  

WAGE SCALE: $10 per hour 

WORK DAYS: (Positions are seasonal and could include additional hours during other program sessions, in addition to winter sessions) 

Basketball commissioner, 4-5 hours/week during winter programs 

• Saturday morning programs run 8:45-11:30am 

Tee ball commissioner, 1 hour/week during winter programs 

• Winter program runs Tuesday evenings 5-6pm 

Floor hockey commissioner, 1 hour /week during winter programs 

• Thursday evening program runs 5:30-6:30pm 

Soccer commissioner, 2 hours/week during winter programs 

• Saturday morning programs run 11am-12:30pm
