Description
The City of Fond du Lac is recruiting for a part-time Clerk Cashier (1040 hours annually). Scheduled hours are 12:45 p.m. - 4:45 p.m.
This position reports directly to the City Clerk and the successful candidate will perform functions in the Central Services office related to receiving and disbursing money, and providing information to the general public regarding personal property taxes, city parking lot regulations and policy on purchasing permits for same, and dog and cat licensing regulations and related fee schedules; and reserve Park facilities. Working knowledge of the laws pertaining to checks, drafts, and endorsements; experience in cash handling, modern office methods and procedures, imaging, fundamentals of bookkeeping, and legal descriptions and documents are preferred.

Required Experience
Requirements include: Graduation from high school including or supplemented by courses in the fundamentals of computer and data entry, and office machine operation; strong ability to function in a fast-paced dynamic work environment; able to meet deadlines and work under critical and stressful situations. Must have excellent interpersonal skills, communication skills, and be able to work effectively with employees and citizens. Strong ability to utilize proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook (testing will be performed.)

Starting wage range is $16.62 - $17.57 per hour. Benefits include health, dental, and life insurance.
