Standard Work Hours (some departments may vary):
- Summer: 6am – 2pm (1st shift), 2pm – 10pm (2nd shift), 10pm – 6am (3rd shift)
- Winter: 7am – 3pm (1st shift), 3pm – 11pm (2nd shift), 11pm – 7am (3rd shift)
- Second Shift premium of $0.50/hour; Third Shift premium of $0.40/hour
Responsibilities
- Design minor electrical circuits and to test and troubleshoot electrical, PLC and electronic circuits used for the control of machines and equipment.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
- Install electrical and electronic controls on machines and equipment by reading and interpreting schematics or blueprints.
- Must have knowledge of the electrical power, steam, water, and gas distribution systems.
- Must perform basic mechanical repairs
- Must be able to perform the work of the lower class identifications.
- May direct the work of others in the lower classifications.
- Must dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as brushes and armatures.
- Must install and monitor performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.
- Interpret blueprints; work from sketches or verbal instructions.
- Do lay outs, assembles, installs, tests, repairs, and adjust electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment, wiring, and new services to include panels, breakers, and conduit.
- Must mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to diagram specifications.
- Do repairs, installs, replaces and test electrical circuits, and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments.
- Perform a variety of work as directed by the coordinator.
Qualifications
What You Need To Succeed:
- Two year Associate degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Must be capable of all the preceding pay step requirements.
